Jhabua Power Limited (JPL), a Joint Venture of NTPC Limited, is a power generation company based at Seoni district in the State of Madhya Pradesh. The site is located near village Barela - Gorakhpur, Tehsil Ghansore of Seoni District.
Jhabua Power Ltd a 50:50 Joint Venture between NTPC Limited and secured financial creditors (SFC), commercially operating from May 2016. The company owns the Jhabua thermal Power Station, a 1x600MW coal-based thermal power plant.
The power plant is located in Ghansore Tehsil in Seoni district, Madhya Pradesh. The power generated by the plant is supplied mainly to Madhya Pradesh (35%) and balance with Medium term & Short term contracts.
The water for the power plant is taken from river Narmada. The Pump house is located at Bagdari Village catchment area of Bargi Dam. The coal for the power plant is supplied by Northern Coalfield Limited and South Eastern Coalfields Limited. The power-station is connected to the grid with double circuit 400 kV lines to New pooling station PGCIL Jabalpur.
